When the aroma of fresh coconut is around, you are definitely in for southern treat.

Breakfast  is incomplete without Dosa, vada, sambhar and  many  chutneys.  To name a few, Coconut chutney, Tomato chutney, Red chilly chutney, Kadappa chutney & Coriander chutney.

While sailing in shikaras in Kerala backwaters, I was surrounded by coconut trees. The trees were grown close enough, it almost felt like boat in amazon river through amazon . The experience  was amazing. And after this ride, it was about time for dinner. As the resort that I was staying was visited by foreigners, the food served was continental but the chef made sure to serve few southern specialties. The dishes were full of spices like cloves, cardamom, curry leaves etc. I am in day 4 of my 9 day trip and will soon be sharing  more of my experience.

When I come back, promise more recipes from south and of course desserts  as some of you requested.
