Don't throw away the leftover meals! Use leftovers from last night’s dinner to make a new dish with these easy and cost cutting recipes.
Let’s face it. We all waste some food every day. We may think restaurants and wedding parties are the biggest food wasters. But intentionally or unintentionally it also happens at our home. There are few initiatives where people can donate excess food and they will distribute it to the poor and needy. Food wastage also has cost associated to it. We pay for all our food and ingredients, so all that money is going to waste too.
Few European countries like France and Germany have already implemented strict laws to avoid unnecessary wastage of food.

Though it is too much to expect implementing such laws in India, each of us can contribute in our own way to reduce wastage of food. How? By sharing few leftover recipes.
Lot of time it happens that we have lot of left over bread, chapatti, tortilla, pita bread etc. and we are always wondering what to do with it. There are lot of ways we all try and utilize the leftovers. Today we are sharing Leftover Bread recipe.
Leftover Bread Recipes
I will try and list down few ways. But I would like all of you to post your comments and your own ways to use leftover bread.
Chips and Salsa:
When I have bread, tortilla, roti or pita bread leftover, I turn them into chips. Cut the bread into small pieces. Brush them lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle some salt, Italian seasoning and chili flakes. Preheat oven to 300 degree F. Place leftover pieces into the oven and bake it until crisp mostly 8 to 10 minutes. Store in airtight containers and serve in future with salsa, chutney or Hummus.
Tangy fried Bread:
Another way to use the leftover is stir-fry the bread with yogurt. Cut green chilies, onions and bell peppers into small pieces. Make small pieces of leftover breads. In a shallow pan, heat some oil, add some mustard seeds and let them crack. Add cut vegetables and stir fry for 3 minutes. Now add some turmeric, red chili powder and salt per taste. Add yogurt and stir it for 4 minutes. Now finally add leftover pieces and stir it for 5 more minutes. Serve them hot and garnish with cilantro.
