Another alternative is to use melted butter instead of milk. You can add colors the same way you would to milk. However be careful while toasting it. Do not use toaster instead use oven with a drip tray so that it would be easy to clean later. You can get crispier effect when you use butter instead of milk.
Few combinations that I use to serve breakfast to the kiddos are:
- Coloured toast + sprouts + fruits + cheese
- Coloured toast + fruits + nuts + fruit juice
- Coloured toast + cream cheese spread + smoothie
- Coloured toast + boiled broccoli and peas in cheese.
